Tampa/Bradenton, Florida

May, 2002

Once we left Fort Walton Beach, we had a long and enjoyable sail to Tampa, Florida.  So, Rankin fished a bit and I took a few photos to capture the moments.

Rankin reeling in the catch for the day ... unfortunately it was a bonita!     During our trip, we had a little visitor who needed to rest ... see the little bird

Bridge across Tampa Bay        I quickly pose at the bow!

While in Tampa, we visited with family, some friends and also went to Busch Gardens.  I don't know what I was thinking, but I didn't get any photos of our family or friends.  Very sorry ... will definitely rectify it during our next visit.  However, I did get several photos while touring around Busch Gardens.

Giraffe hiding ... can you see him??        Beautiful tigers        Pink Flamingos

Rankin poses with a couple of parrots ... wait shouldn't they be on his shoulder        I get to pose with the parrots too        Now, what's this guys looking at???

Rankin and I at Busch Gardens        Look at the tigers closely ... there's one playing in the water

After we departed Tampa, we made a quick stop in Bradenton, Florida where Ponce de Leon landed.  We toured the museum and found it very informative.  They also let us or shall I say let Rankin play with some of the costumes.  Rankin had more than a little fun!!!

Once I finally got Rankin out of that costume (wink, wink), we headed to Dry Tortugas, Florida.
