Dry Tortugas, Florida

May 2002

 

 

   After a rather bumpy and rocky ride from Tampa, we finally made it to Dry Tortugas.  It can only be reached by boat or sea plane.  The water is beautiful and nearby is Fort Jefferson where you can take a tour.  It was educational, interesting and worth the trip.  Here are a few pictures.

 

 

A couple of other boats were anchored out in the harbor too!!        Rankin relaxing and enjoying a cocktail at sunset        Rankin didn't get to relax long ... it was time to do the dishes!!

I get a chance to sit back and relax        Wow, checkout the size of the fish next to the boat ....

 

   Though we had a very nice, relaxing time at Dry Tortugas, we were looking forward to Key West, Florida.
