Key West, Florida

May, 2002

We only got to spend a few days in Key West, and we made the best of it ... touring our legs off.  We walked the whole island taking in many tours and one of special note is the Southern Most Home which had a houseful of history.  Some items included authentic letters from Charles Lindbergh, Ernest Hemingway, President Lincoln and many more.  Next time you're in Key West, it's worth the visit.  It was wonderful.   The pictures below don't capture the feel of Key West, however, I believe you will get a view of it.

Lighthouse on Key West        Mallory Square statue ... or is it really a statue???        I think it moved ...        This performer on Mallory Square is about to juggle fire!!!

Rankin posing in front of the L. B. Johnson inaugration letter at the Southern Most Home in Key West        I also stop to pose in this fabulous home ... if you happen to be in Key West, don't miss it!!!

After only a few days in Key West, we had to head out ... onto Cape Canaveral to have some work done on the boat.
