New York - Long Island Sound

September, 2002

Once the Sail for America events came to a close, we decided a sail to Long Island Sound would be nice.  We spent time with family and friends sailing up and down the Sound and here are a few photos.  I think everyone had a great time!!

Rankin teaching Dash (his niece) how to drive the boat        She's on her own now!!!        The captain relaxing on the bow with her father (Bob)

Dash caught a fish ...         A couple of swans join Dash for breakfast ... bagel anyone!!!        A proud Captain Dash and her mom (Sherie)

A few friends decide to go sailing with us over the weekend.  It was gorgeous weather, good company and a few cocktails actually quite a few cocktails .... you couldn't ask for more.

Tom enjoying a cocktail ...yes, he really is enjoying this drink!!        Tom and Lani having a serious discussion regarding something        Rankin and I having a good time too

It was finally time to head down south again, so we could make our way to the Bahamas.  However, we couldn't sail past Atlantic City, New Jersey again without stopping.
