Colombia

December, 2006

We left Panama on Thursday, December 28th and after about 34 hours of bashing into 10-12 foot seas and being pushed back by a steady breeze we finally made it to Cartagena, Colombia a bit tired but all in one piece.  Since our arrival, we have toured the city and many beautiful Christmas decorations were still lighting up this historical town.  We've been catching up with old friends and meeting many new cruisers.  We've scheduled the Heart for a haul out and a fresh coat of bottom paint will be applied soon.  Rankin has already had several visits to the dentist for a minor tooth repair and I've started running again.   Here's a few photos of our travels around Cartagena.

We spent a month touring Cartagena and completing boat projects (i.e. applying bottom paint, waxing the hull, etc.).  It was time to travel again.  I went to St. Louis for family matters and Rankin cruised as a single-hander for almost six months from Colombia to Panama.  If you wish to continue the adventure, take a look at What's Happening to get the latest scoop.  Don't forget ... keep coming back.
