August/September, 2006
After a wonderful five day passage ... all downwind sailing, we arrived in the San Blas Islands on Monday, August 14th just in time for a potluck on BBQ Island. We ran into our good friends from the sailing vessel, Centime (Pat and Walt) and also met new cruisers. There were many children playing on the island and everyone had a great time. The San Blas Islands are fairly secluded there are no stores or any modern conveniences nearby so any shopping (groceries or otherwise) is done out of a canoe. It's a wonderful place to stay, relax and snorkel. We had a great time in these beautiful islands and here are some of the photographs. We spent three weeks in the San Blas island and loved it. We hope to return again soon, but we had to leave paradise and take the boat to Shelter Bay Marina. On Saturday, September 2nd, we arrived at Shelter Bay Marina which is where she stayed until November while we toured South America. Check out our travels to South America beginning in Buenos Aires, Argentina. If you would like to catch up on the latest travels, take a look at What's Happening. Don't forget ... keep coming back.
