St. Martin

March/April, 2006

We traveled with Janie (Rankin's mother) from St. Croix to Anguilla and then to St. Martin, unfortunately, our computer crashed and the pictures of her travels were lost.  We were very sorry that these pictures couldn't be displayed here.  Janie traveled with us until Tuesday, March 7th and then we said our goodbyes.  We always enjoy her company and can't wait until she comes again.  We miss you Janie.

The same day as Janie's departure our new guests arrived, Ron and Rita, very close friends of ours from Washington, DC.  They spent a week with us and we circumnavigated St. Martin during their stay.  Here's some photographs from their visit.

Me, Rankin, Rita and Ron enjoy cocktails their first night in St. Martin at the yacht club    We have cocktails and watch the large boats pass through the bridge opening

Dinner and then dancing at Lee's Restaurant    Now, we're underway

Ron helped with the sails    A little sailing ... a little shopping

Rita enjoyed the sailing too    Ron got a chance to swim off the back of the boat

Captain Rankin relinquished the wheel to his good friend, Ron    Ron and Rita enjoying a beautiful sunset

Sunset in St. Martin

Our week finished in a flash and it was time for us to say goodbye to our good friends, Ron and Rita ... until next time maybe Bermuda.  We stayed in St. Martin working on boat projects and various chores.  I traveled home for three weeks to visit family while Rankin continued working on the boat.  We finished our projects just as our next visitor was arriving, Jerry who's like family.  He arrived on Saturday, April 15th and we spent three days in St. Martin before we whisked him away to St. Barts for a quick stop and then to Antigua.   Here are the photos from St. Martin.

Jerry helped us sell our goods at a local flea market    Jerry and Rankin with dueling laptops

Jerry cuddled up to our friend Judy    We enjoyed burgers at Sunset Bar

Now we starting to cruise

Continue our travels with Jerry in Antigua or if you would like to catch up on the latest travels, take a look at What's Happening.  Don't forget ... keep coming back.
