St. Martin

May, 2006

We sailed into Simpson Bay, St. Martin on Sunday, May 21st and had just a few days to prepare before our friend Patrick arrived.  So we did our chores and repairs and on Thursday, May 25th Patrick arrived bearing gifts ... oh what fun we had with all the surprises he brought us (Christmas in May).  Thank you so much Patrick for bringing everything we asked and then some.  Patrick had two weeks with us so we decided to circumnavigate St. Martin.  We traveled to Grand Case to visit restaurant row, stopped at Orient Bay where the guys took a stroll on the nude beach, and of course, shopped in Philipsburg.  Here are some photos ... sorry for the quality.

Yes, we put Patrick to work too    Patrick really enjoys sailing

... and the beauty of the islands    Patrick speak French very well so we stopped at a wonderful restaurant in Phillipsburg

Cards anyone!    Patrick went to customs & immigration with us to check out

We had a great time showing Patrick around St. Martin and he seemed to love the "island" life.  So after about a week of exploring St. Martin, we took Patrick to the U.S. Virgin Islands specifically St. John (to begin with).
